How we handle your personal information at Platinum Shield Spray Foam
Effective Date: 1 January 2026
Platinum Shield Spray Foam provides spray foam removal services across Bath and Somerset. We have been in business since 2021, and in that time we have kept one simple promise: we look after your details the same way we look after your property. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, call us on 0122 528 5137 and we will talk you through it.
Information We Collect
When you call us, fill in a form on our website, or email us about a spray foam removal job, we collect the details we need to quote and carry out the work. That usually means your name, phone number, email address and the address of the property where the work is needed.
If you go ahead with a booking, we also keep notes about the job itself, such as the type of spray foam, the areas affected, access arrangements and any photos you send us of the roof or loft space.
We do not collect payment card details through this website. If you pay by bank transfer or card on site, that information is handled by your bank or our payment provider, not stored by us.
How We Use Information
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey, prepare your quote and carry out the spray foam removal work. We also use them to keep you updated on the day, confirm access times and send any follow-up information about the job.
If you have asked us to, we may contact you about related services such as insulation checks or roof maintenance. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will take you off the list.
We keep records of completed jobs so we can honour our workmanship warranty and answer any questions you have later about the work we did.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies to make the site work properly and to understand how visitors find us. These are small text files stored on your device. Some are essential for the site to load and for forms to work.
We also use cookies to see which pages are popular, so we can improve the information we provide about spray foam removal. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or delete them, and the site will still work for you.
Analytics and Third-Party Tools
We use analytics tools to see how people reach our website and which pages they read. This information is grouped together and does not identify you personally.
We may use third-party services to help us manage enquiries, send emails or host our website. These providers only see the information they need to do that job, and they are not allowed to use it for anything else.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share your details only where it is necessary to deliver the service you asked for. That could include passing your address and job notes to a member of our team or a trusted subcontractor who is helping on your removal.
We may also share information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a public authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our customers and our team.
If we ever sell or transfer the business, customer records may be passed to the new owner as part of that transfer. We would tell you before that happened.
Data Retention
We keep your enquiry details for as long as it takes to deal with your quote and any follow-up questions. If you do not go ahead with the work, we usually remove your details within 12 months.
For completed jobs, we keep records for as long as our workmanship warranty is in place, plus a reasonable period afterwards so we can answer any questions that come up.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it securely or anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe. That includes limiting access to the people who need it to do their job, using password-protected systems, and storing paper records securely.
No system is completely secure, but we act quickly if we ever become aware of a problem. If a breach affects your rights, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.
Your Rights
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it where we no longer need it.
You can also object to how we use your information, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Just call or email us and we will help.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
Children's Privacy
Our services are for homeowners and property managers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete the information promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business or in the law. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised.
If we make a significant change to how we use your information, we will make it clear on this page and, where appropriate, contact you directly.
